The lawyer told about the cancellation of loans taken by banks under the influence of fraudsters

The bank is obliged to cancel the loan if it was taken under pressure from scammers and a criminal case has been opened on the fact of fraud. Alexander Khaminsky, a lawyer and head of the law enforcement center in Moscow and the Moscow Region, told about this on December 8.

"Starting from September 1, 2025, according to the requirement of the Central Bank, credit institutions must improve their security systems, check customers and provide them with a cooling-off period. Otherwise, if a person suffers from fraud and a criminal case is initiated on this fact, the bank is obliged to cancel the client's credit obligations," Khaminsky said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
