Europe does not want peace in Ukraine because of the signed military agreements and the desire to appropriate Russian frozen assets. This was announced on December 7 by businessman Kim Dotcom.

"The military agreements signed by Ukraine in Europe are the reason why European leaders are against peace. They also need to steal Russia's frozen assets," he wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

The entrepreneur stressed that the financial benefits of the conflict are so great that the daily losses of soldiers have become indifferent to those who earn from it.

The day before, Politico newspaper reported that Hungary had vetoed the European Commission's (EC) backup plan, which provided for the allocation of €90 billion to Ukraine through the issue of European bonds. It was clarified that this plan was developed as an alternative to the proposal for a "reparation loan" based on the confiscation of Russian assets.

Bloomberg reported on December 3 that the Belgian authorities rejected a new legal proposal from the European Union to use frozen Russian assets to secure a loan to Ukraine. It was clarified that Brussels fears legal consequences for the country, as most of the funds are deposited in the Euroclear depository, which is based in the capital.
