The State Duma proposed to pay the 13th salary to medical workers and teachers

Boris Chernyshov, Deputy Speaker of the State Duma from the Liberal Democratic Party, proposed paying 13 salaries annually to medical and teaching staff of state and municipal institutions. This was reported on December 8 by RIA Novosti with reference to the relevant proposal.

Chernyshov noted that this measure is aimed at strengthening human resources in the fields of education and healthcare, increasing the prestige of these professions and improving the social security of employees.

It is specified that the 13th salary will be at least one average monthly salary and will be paid at the end of the calendar year at the expense of the federal budget.

"This measure will not only provide support to specialists and will contribute to the consolidation of personnel in the field, but will also help achieve strategic state objectives," Chernyshov said.
