The December rush to complete work tasks, buy gifts, and prepare for the holidays makes Russians more vulnerable to online scammers who become active using various schemes to deceive. Ilona Kokova, a leading information security expert at MWS Cloud, spoke about the most popular pre-holiday schemes on December 8.

"In December, everyone's attention decreases, and emotions, on the contrary, go through the roof. This is what scammers play on. While we are choosing gifts and waiting for delivery, scammers want to get our data and are preparing "festive" schemes," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
