A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. In response to Ukraine's terrorist attacks on civilian targets in Russia at night, the Russian Armed Forces launched a group strike with high-precision ground-based weapons, aeroballistic hypersonic Kinzhal missiles and long-range unmanned aerial vehicles against transport infrastructure facilities, the fuel and energy complex of Ukraine used in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), as well as an enterprise, involved in the production of long-range unmanned aerial vehicles. The targets of the strike have been achieved, and all designated targets have been hit.

The Northern group of troops defeated Ukrainian formations in a number of settlements in Sumy and Kharkiv regions. The enemy's losses amounted to 210 people, 10 vehicles, three artillery pieces and three ammunition depots.

Units of the Zapad group of forces continued to destroy the encircled enemy group on the left bank of the Oskol River, and also liberated the village of Kucherovka in the Kharkiv region. The enemy's losses amounted to over 220 soldiers, seven Western-made armored combat vehicles, 11 vehicles, and four field artillery pieces, including a 155-mm Paladin self-propelled artillery system manufactured in the United States. An electronic warfare (EW) station and six ammunition depots were destroyed.

The military personnel of the South group of forces improved their tactical situation and defeated the Armed Forces of Ukraine in a number of settlements in the DPR. The enemy lost over 190 fighters, three armored combat vehicles, nine vehicles and a 155-mm Krab self-propelled artillery system made in Poland. An electronic warfare station was destroyed, as well as seven ammunition, fuel and materiel depots.

The Center group of troops completed the liberation of the village of Rovnoye in the DPR and continued the destruction of the encircled AFU group in Dimitrov. The manpower and equipment of the Ukrainian formations were defeated in a number of settlements of the Donetsk People's Republic. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost up to 480 people, four armored combat vehicles and two vehicles.

The units of the Vostok group of forces continued to advance into the depth of the enemy's defenses and defeated the enemy in the areas of settlements in the Zaporizhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions. The Ukrainian formations lost up to 205 soldiers, an armored combat vehicle, 10 vehicles, four field artillery guns and an electronic warfare station.

Units of the Dnepr group of forces defeated the manpower and equipment of the heavy mechanized brigade and the coastal defense brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of Veselyanka, Zaporizhia region, Lviv and Antonovka, Kherson region. Up to 45 Ukrainian Armed Forces militants, an HMMWV armored car and a 155-mm M777 howitzer made in the USA, 10 pickups, two electronic warfare stations and two ammunition depots were destroyed.

Tactical aircraft, attack drones, rocket troops and artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation defeated the infrastructure of the military airfield, fuel depots, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 140 areas.

Two guided aerial bombs, four guided long-range Neptune missiles and 172 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down by air defense systems.

According to the Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of the special military operation, 668 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 100,960 unmanned aerial vehicles, 638 anti-aircraft missile systems, 26,428 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,627 multiple rocket launchers, 31769 field artillery and mortars, 48520 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
