Donald Trump presented Kennedy Center Medals to artists
President of the United States Donald Trump presented medals of the Kennedy Center to a number of famous artists for their outstanding contribution to the development of the performing arts. This was reported on December 6 by the PBS News Hour channel.
Awards were given to the band Kiss, actor Sylvester Stallone and singer Gloria Gaynor, author of the hit "I Will Survive". The winners were also British actor Michael Crawford and country singer George Strait.
"My friend (Stallone. — Ed.) is an outstanding man, one of the truly great movie stars. There aren't many of them. There used to be a lot more of them," said the American leader, presenting the award to Stallone.
Trump complained during the presentation that there are very few actors worthy of the title of "legend" in modern cinema.
Trump personally awarded the finalists of the World Club Championship on July 14. He presented a silver medal to the goalkeeper of the Parisian football team Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) To Matvey Safonov.
