In the Indian village of Arpora, 23 people died in a nightclub fire. This was reported on December 7 by The Indian Express newspaper, citing local police.

According to the newspaper, a fire broke out in the popular coastal club Birch by Romeo Lane. Presumably, the cause of the tragedy was a balloon explosion.

Several fire brigades and senior police officers arrived at the scene.
