Two suspects in the murder of a city resident for the sake of a car were detained in Tyumen.

In Tyumen, two people were arrested on suspicion of murdering a city resident for his car. The relevant information was published on December 6 on the official website of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the region.

According to investigators, two men came to a Tyumen resident at night, pretending to be car buyers from another city. During the inspection of the car, one of them asked to get behind the wheel, and then attacked the seller with a knife.

After the murder, the attackers placed the body in the back seat of an unregistered car, took it to a deserted place and set it on fire. On the same day, employees of the Investigative Committee and the Ministry of Internal Affairs found a burnt-out car and a man's body, and later identified the suspects. Criminal cases have been initiated.

As the father of the deceased, Eduard Stasyuk, told Izvestia, the criminals wanted to resell the vehicle that his son had offered them.

"He was killed, and then what happened. They fled in this car, they wanted to sell it in Yekaterinburg," the man said.

He added that his son worked as a senior mechanic, and his father did not know anything about the fact that he could resell cars.

In addition, in an interview with Izvestia, Maxim, a friend of the deceased Vladimir Stasyuk, shared that all his friends immediately began looking for Vladimir as soon as they found out about his disappearance. He also said that motorists from Yekaterinburg were able to identify suspects by searching for a car.

Izvestia also published footage of the men being captured by law enforcement officers.

Earlier, on November 12, in Simferopol, a man killed his 12-year-old nephew and injured his brother and mother, and a criminal case was opened into the incident. It was clarified that in a private house at night, a 27-year-old young man killed his underage nephew with a kitchen axe, injured his six-year-old brother and their 37-year-old mother. According to the agency, the woman resisted the attacker and called for help from a relative living with them.
