Wilfand reported possible frosts of up to -40 degrees in Siberia

In Siberia, temperatures may drop to -40 degrees by the end of the week due to air masses from the Arctic Ocean. This was announced on December 5 by the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia Roman Vilfand.

"At the end of this week, especially at the beginning of next week, the temperature (in Siberia — Ed.) will drop sharply," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

He clarified that at the moment the temperature in Siberia exceeds the norm by 8-9 degrees, but next week it may drop significantly. In this regard, according to Wilfand, in Krasnoyarsk, the temperature may reach -40 degrees.
