Light tunnels were installed in Moscow on the eve of the New Year
Specialists of the municipal economy complex have installed festive light tunnels in Moscow. This was announced on Friday, October 5, by the Deputy Mayor of the capital for Housing and Communal Services and landscaping, Peter Biryukov.
He noted that such constructions traditionally create a New Year's mood and additionally illuminate the city. This year, more than 10 tunnels have been installed — on Tverskaya, Nikitsky and Gogol Boulevards, Manezhnaya and Triumfalnaya Squares.
Biryukov clarified that one of the most popular tunnels was once again placed on Tverskaya Boulevard, a 100—meter multimedia structure capable of broadcasting figures and lighting effects. On Nikitsky Boulevard, the Crystal Tunnel was renovated, replacing the lighting and adding elements in the form of icicles. A 50-meter light tunnel appeared on Gogolevsky Island.
He added that a 38-meter-high structure with blue and white lighting was installed on Triumfalnaya Square, and two tunnels united by the theme of art were installed on Manezhnaya Square: one is decorated with musical elements, the second with graceful arches and patterns, the Moscow City News agency reports.
Festive tunnels also appeared in Tsaritsyn, Petrovsky Park, Poklonnaya Gora, Sokolnicheskaya Square, Myasnitsky Gate Square and Frunzenskaya Embankment. Biryukov stressed that all decorations are made of energy-saving LED materials, writes "Moscow 24".
