ON Media and the Historical Memory Center have agreed to create educational content

ON Media Holding (formerly MTS Media) and the National Center for Historical Memory under the President of the Russian Federation have agreed to create media products with educational content. The cooperation agreement was signed at the International Forum of Civic Engagement #MYPLACE-2025, the press service of the holding said.

"The agreement is aimed at implementing joint socially significant projects and initiatives aimed at preserving and protecting Russian culture and historical memory," the ON Media noted, adding that cooperation will bring this work to a qualitatively new level.

"During a study on the Media in May this year, it turned out that about 85% of Russians surveyed would like to learn more about the history of the Great Patriotic War. Moreover, many of our citizens prefer films and other multimedia content as the main source of information," said Sofia Mitrofanova, CEO of ON Media. However, according to her, the creation of historical content involves a high degree of responsibility, so it is important to work together with the expert community to "carefully preserve sacred memory and at the same time package it in modern, lively formats."

Elena Malysheva, head of the National Center for Historical Memory, added that the signing of the agreement was a logical development of the existing cooperation with ON Media. "Our goal is to co—produce and distribute educational content that cherishes our history and, at the same time, makes it accessible and interesting to the widest possible audience," she said.

The forum #MYPLACE-2025 was held from December 2 to 5 at the National Center "Russia" in Moscow.

ON Media and the Center for Historical Memory previously collaborated on the creation of the video podcast "War in the East," dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Soviet Union's Victory over Japan. Three new similar projects are planned for 2026, one of which is dedicated to the Great Patriotic War.
