In the Lipetsk region, the police are conducting an investigation into remote fraud. A local resident lost 215 thousand rubles.

According to the victim, he received a call from a stranger who introduced herself as an employee of a mobile operator. She stated that the Yelets resident was allegedly running out of a contract for the provision of communication services. After that, she asked to dictate the code from the SMS message, writes GOROD48.

Then the man began receiving calls allegedly from employees of the Gosuslugi portal and law enforcement agencies. To prevent unauthorized actions with his accounts, the man agreed to transfer funds to a "secure" account.

A criminal case has been opened.

In Buryatia, scammers twice deceived a 55-year-old man. At first, the victim transferred 21 thousand rubles, hoping to receive income from investments. Then he paid for the services of "lawyers" to compensate for the damage, and lost more than 2.5 million rubles.
