Nikas Safronov's exhibition opens in India with the support of Rosneft
An immersive exhibition by artist Nikas Safronov will open in New Delhi on December 7. The exhibition called Dream Vision is located at the Lalit Kala Akademi National Academy of Arts, and you can visit it until December 21, the press service of Rosneft, which supported the project, reported.
The exhibition features 100 of the artist's best works, including a series of paintings created specifically for the Indian public. In Safronov's new canvases, views of Moscow and St. Petersburg are juxtaposed with images of the Taj Mahal and other iconic places in India. The total area of the exhibition is about 1.3 thousand square meters.
"The exhibition organically combines classical painting with modern multimedia technologies," Rosneft noted. At the entrance, guests will be greeted by decorative sculptures of elephants, hand-painted in Russian folk techniques. The entrance to the halls runs through a multimedia corridor, where each viewer is accompanied by his own plume of color, merging into the overall color flow.
Decorative solutions from the field of robotics and animatronics are used in the exhibition space: huge flowers come to life, avatars from the past and the future are created. The screen will show a giant elephant striding from warm Varanasi to the snow-covered walls of the Moscow Kremlin. Each room has a sound and aromatic decoration.
The exhibition got its name due to Safronov's corporate identity, Dream Vision. A number of paintings presented in India are made in this technique. It allows the artist to create multi-layered paintings that blur the boundaries between reality and fiction.
The exhibition will also be held in Mumbai from December 25, 2025 to January 15, 2026.
Rosneft recalled that the company is actively involved in the development of cultural ties between Russia and India. This summer, with her support, the Festival of India was held on Manezhnaya Square, and last fall, the premiere of Olympic champion Tatiana Navka's ice show "Scheherazade's Love Story" took place in India.
