More than 500 events in support of the SVO fighters were held in the Central Administrative District

More than 500 events in support of the soldiers of the special military operation (SVO) have been held in the Central Administrative District (CAO) of the capital since 2022. Volunteers are organizing workshops for local residents and sending camouflage nets and hygiene kits to the front line, the press service of the prefecture of the Central Administrative District of Moscow reported.

Actions to support fighters take place in all districts of the district several times a month. So, on December 4, a master class was held, organized by Elena Lukinova, a municipal deputy, chairman of the Council of Veterans of the Basmanny district, and the Interregional Center for Creative Development and Popularization of Crafts "Family Traditions". The participants made New Year's cards and cotton-wool Christmas tree toys. Some of the work will be sent to the front line, the rest will be transferred to the military, who are being treated at the N.N. Burdenko Main Military Clinical Hospital.

Since the beginning of its operation, residents of the center of the capital have transferred about 2.2 thousand camouflage nets to the front line. More than 800 of them were woven at the site of ANO Avto-Moto TR-club in the Tver region. The volunteers also collected over 10,000 individual hygiene kits. According to Anastasia Yurova, the founder of the organization, at first the volunteers bought ready-made products, but they were faced with the fact that most of them did not meet the requirements. Therefore, regular meetings have begun on the basis of the club, where like-minded people weave their own networks.

On the eve of the New Year, the collection of individual gift sets begins, which will be sent to the fighters at the end of December, the prefecture reported. Sweets, small souvenirs, warm socks, gloves and other items are accepted.
