Medvedev suggested the United States send submarines to France after Macron's remarks
On December 5, Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council (SB), gave advice to Washington amid concerns from French leader Emmanuel Macron that the United States could betray Ukraine.
The politician recalled that during a conversation with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz on December 1, as reported by Der Spiegel magazine, Macron allegedly pointed out the likelihood that Washington would betray the Kiev authorities.
"Perhaps it's time to send a couple of the 'best submarines in the world' to the shores of France,— Medvedev wrote on his Telegram channel.
In this way, he hinted at a joke made by US President Donald Trump in October that Washington has the "best American nuclear submarine in the world" and is not trying to chase after Russia's weapons.
On December 4, Andrei Kolesnik, a member of the State Duma's defense committee, criticized Macron's proposal for a temporary ban on fire on the Ukrainian energy system and called it cowardice. The deputy explained that the resumption of the work of Ukraine's energy infrastructure would entail an increase in the efficiency of the military-industrial complex.
