The sale of Russian oil to India is beneficial to both sides. This was announced on December 5 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov in an interview with RT.

He noted that India is a major buyer of Russian oil and earns significant funds from this.

"This is very beneficial for India, and, of course, beneficial for us," Peskov said.

The spokesman also stressed that the issue of US duties for India's purchase of oil from the Russian Federation is primarily a problem of bilateral relations between India and the United States.

On the same day, Russian President Vladimir Putin, during talks with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, said that Russia and India had done a lot of work to develop relations, and the possibilities for cooperation were expanding.

The day before, Putin said that trade in Russian oil products in India is proceeding rhythmically. He also noted that the Russian partners highly appreciate their Indian colleagues, considering them reliable and serious people.
