Toyota unveils the most powerful road car in the brand's history
Toyota unveiled a new supercar called the GR GT on December 5. This is the most powerful production road car ever to wear the Toyota logo, says Carscoops. The price of the model has not yet been announced, but it is already known that the first deliveries to customers are scheduled for 2027.
Exact technical specifications have not yet been provided, as the Toyota GR GT is still under development. However, it has already been announced that the car will be equipped with a new 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine with a dry sump and an eight-speed gearbox, which is designed specifically for this model. An electric motor is built into the transmission housing, and the drive is exclusively rear-mounted. Toyota says the GR GT's powertrain will produce a minimum of 650 hp (850 Nm) and a top speed of over 320 km/h.

Externally, the Toyota GR GT is characterized by a low-slung, long hood and aggressive exterior design with many aerodynamic elements. The supercar is built on a new aluminum platform, the body elements are made of carbon fiber. The weight of the car will not exceed 1750 kg, and the weight distribution between the axles will be 45:55. The length of the car is 4820 mm, the wheelbase is 2725 mm. 20-inch wheels, double-lever suspensions and carbon-ceramic brakes are installed.
Earlier, on December 3, it was reported that registrations of new Toyota vehicles in Russia doubled, which allowed the brand to rise to eighth place in the top sales in the Russian market at the end of autumn.
