Lithuania will declare an emergency due to contraband balloons flying into the territory of the republic. This was announced on December 5 by the country's Prime Minister Inga Ruginene.

"The legal framework and documents for the emergency situation are currently being developed. <...> Experts have decided that the form of the emergency situation will be optimal for today," LRT quoted her as saying.
