Russia celebrates Volunteer Day on December 5. Congratulations from the volunteers and photos of the winners of the #MY PLACE Prize were scattered throughout all major cities of Russia. The communication partner of the Fifth Anniversary International Volunteer Forum, which takes place in Moscow on December 2-5, has traditionally been the MAER media holding.

Russian President Vladimir Putin recalled that the #MYPLACE movement originated 5 years ago, when the whole country and the whole world were fighting the pandemic. He personally presented the International Volunteer of the Year Award to Anna Pluzhnikova. She took part in a volunteer mission to eliminate the consequences of an environmental disaster in Anapa.

"It is a great honor for me to receive such a high award. You know, when I went to Anapa, I saw how many caring people there are in our country — people who can't stay away if they face trouble, people who abandoned their usual everyday lives and sacrificed themselves to save our incredibly beautiful Black Sea, its inhabitants, and its shores." — said Anna Pluzhnikova.

The MAER media holding displays congratulations on Volunteer Day and photos of this year's award winners on media facades and digital screens on the central streets of Moscow and Russian cities.

"The MAER media holding has always been based on a simple principle: when we help each other out, we become stronger. We work alongside those who do great things quietly: volunteers, community organizations, entrepreneurs, and the Dobro team.We have been supporting the organization for more than 5 years, and our entire audience of 58 million people will know about this year's winners," said the owner and CEO of the MAER media holding.

The traditional "Wish Tree" campaign is taking place within the framework of the forum. Anyone, from the President of the Russian Federation to a simple visitor, can take off her balloon and fulfill a childhood dream.

"The Wishing Tree project shows that magic is real. The main thing is to believe and trust. When people, even strangers who live in different parts of the country, unite and begin to fulfill children's dreams, there is real confidence in the future," said the chairman of the State Duma Committee on Youth Policy, the head of the Dobro.Russian Federation Artem Metelev.

This year, the MAER media holding will fulfill three wishes at once. Kristina from Chelyabinsk will receive a sapboard, Andrey from Salavat (Bashkortostan) will receive a swimming pool, and Artyom from Bobrov (Voronezh Region) will receive a mountain bike.
