Liksutov appreciated the popularity of river transport in Moscow
Since the launch of regular river routes in the capital, passengers have made more than 3 million trips using electric vessels. This was stated by Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry.
River passenger transportation by electric vessels, which Liksutov called the most innovative mode of transport, is being developed in Moscow on behalf of the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin. "Since the launch of regular river transportation in 2023, more than 3 million passengers have used our electric vessels. Thanks to this project, over 1.8 million citizens have received a new way to travel around the capital," Liksutov said.
For more than two years, the electric vessels have completed about 127 thousand flights and sailed over 1 million kilometers. This year, the composition of the electric fleet increased by 50% to 31 innovative vessels. Ten upgraded electric vessels have been put on line, and eight more are expected in 2026. The number of floating stops has increased to 23: five new berths have already arrived in the capital, they are undergoing the final stage of preparation before being installed on the routes.
Liksutov noted that in 2026 it is planned to extend the third route to the Krasnye Kholmy pier. A new stop with a diameter of 10 m will be located on the Kosmodamianskaya embankment. Thus, the regular Novospassky — ZIL river route will already include 7 floating berths. In addition, the opening of route No. 4 "Luzhniki — Kievsky" is planned for next year.
The first regular river route in the capital was launched with the participation of Russian President Vladimir Putin in June 2023. Currently, there are three regular routes on the Moskva River: Kievsky - Fili Park, ZIL — Pechatniki and Novospassky — ZIL. Their total length is about 29 km.
