The talks between Russia and India were useful and constructive. This was announced on December 5 by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"These talks were very useful, they were held in a constructive and friendly atmosphere, in the spirit of a particularly privileged partnership between Russia and India," Putin said during statements following the results of the Russian—Indian talks.
