In Russia, sales of the Avatr 12 fastback have begun, the price of the electric car starts from 6.5 million rubles. This is stated in a message from Chang'an Motors Rus, which was received by Izvestia on December 5.

Representatives of the company explained that the name of the model in the Russian version should be correctly pronounced as "Avatar-One-Two". The car's design features futuristic elements, hidden door handles, rear-view cameras instead of traditional mirrors, frameless doors, an active electric rear spoiler and a panoramic roof with a total area of 2.57 square meters. m. The drag coefficient is 0.21.

The Avatr 12 is equipped with an all-wheel drive powerplant with a total output of 578 hp (650 Nm), acceleration time from zero to 100 km/h takes 3.9 seconds. The air suspension allows you to adjust the ground clearance in the range from 120 mm to 165 mm. 21-inch wheels are installed. The length of the electric car is 5020 mm, the wheelbase is 3020 mm. The 94.53 kWh CATL battery provides 565 km of power reserve for the all-wheel drive version and 610 km in the single-wheel drive version (according to the NEDC cycle).

The front row chairs are equipped with an electric position memory drive, heating, ventilation, massage system and footrest. The interior is decorated with nappa leather and precious woods: birch and ash.

The multimedia system has a 15.6-inch screen with a resolution of 1920x1440. The system is controlled by two Snapdragon 8155 chips. The Meridian system with 25 speakers with a total power of 2016 watts is responsible for sound quality (divided into 12 sound channels according to scheme 7.1.4). The Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wireless connection protocol is supported, and cooled wireless charging stations for two smartphones are provided.

Multimedia has been localized into Russian, a Russian-made ESIM card has also been integrated, a mobile application for driving has been developed, there is a "winter package" and a charger connector of the European standard CCS Combo 2, the most common in the Russian Federation. Customers will receive the original charging station as a gift when purchasing the car. The first Russian buyers are promised an indefinite warranty on the car, which applies to CATL batteries, electric motors and powertrain controllers.

As reported on December 1, hybrid modifications of Avatr cars (the brand is part of the Chinese concern Changan) are planned to be launched in Russia in 2026. Prior to the Avatr 12's debut, the brand's lineup in Russia was represented by one Avatr 11 electric crossover. Changan announced the launch of the Avatr luxury brand in Russia in November last year. The brand was created in partnership with the Chinese IT giant Huawei.
