An agreement has been signed in New Delhi that should change the media space between Russia and India. The National Media Group begins cooperation with the leader of Indian TV news TV9 Network and the leading news agency Asian News International. This is a fundamentally new level of relations that will open up opportunities for both countries. Such cooperation has already been described on Indian television as strengthening information security. Viktor Sineok, a columnist for Izvestia, spoke about the important strategic partnership on December 5.

A word in Russian on the Indian air is an element of prestige. To emphasize, Moscow is in touch with Delhi. TV9 live broadcast with the Izvestia News Center studio. India's leading news channel is now collaborating with the leader of the Russian media market, the National Media Group.

"This will help to understand Russia's point of view and introduce it to the whole of India and the world. We are the only global Hindi news channel. I hope our cooperation will become a new chapter in the history of Russian-Indian friendship," said TV9 editor—in-chief Paritosh Chaturvedi.

This is an event that will forever change the media space of the two countries. As part of the Russian president's state visit to Delhi, Russia's largest media holding has signed agreements with major players in the Indian market.

The National Media Group is now collaborating with the country's leading news agency, Asian News International, and the leader of the TV9 Network.

"It is the interaction of the media industry that is especially important because it allows people from our countries to get to know each other better and, consequently, cooperate better," said Svetlana Balanova, CEO of the National Media Group.

Russia and India have relations that originated long before the signing of documents by diplomats — art, science, cinema and media.

The CEO of Asian News International proudly shows a photo of the developing machine. In the 70s, the news was filmed. And the USSR helped the young news agency with technology. Now ANI is a real giant. No information passes by. Almost none.

"This is a place where news flows from all over India and from all over the world too. But there was too little Russian news. Now they will learn much more about our country in India," Sineok reports.

"Almost all the news about Russia that we receive here in India comes from outside sources, not from Russian or Indian agencies. This is a big problem," says Sanjeev Prakash, editor—in-chief and CEO of Asian News International.

Here it is called "strengthening media independence." Western resources are too active in the region. And the appearance of a National Media Group will change everything. Not only in the field of news. NMG is Russia's largest holding company, which manages several TV channels, is engaged in film distribution, makes films and vivid television shows.

In one of the episodes of the new season of the travel show "100 places to eat", Alexander Belkovich studied the Chandni Chowk market in Delhi, tasted spices, dishes unlike anything else.

And it's not just about the filming location, but also about the huge market of the country with a population of almost 1.5 billion people, which the National Media Group entered back in 2017.

NMG's sales volume has already increased eightfold here. And after the triumphant success of the film "Red Silk" in China, the approach to work in India will seriously change.

"Everyone knows our big joint project "Red Silk". And, of course, when we look at such a large market as India, we approach such a market in the same purposeful and systematic way. We have now announced the completion of filming of the first Russian reality show in India," said Svetlana Balanova, CEO of NMG.

This is Sergey Burunov's video diary from filming in India. He is the host of a new reality show. It's called "The Secret Millionaire," watch the new season on CTC. A Russian-Indian team worked on the project: vivid scenes, mysteries, riddles and a stellar cast of participants, a battle for 10 million rubles, ancient palaces and exotic landscapes.

Now the cooperation will accelerate. Negotiations are underway to launch several large-scale film projects from NMG in Indian film distribution. You have to know each other very well here.

So, in India, everyone is "sick" of cricket even more than football here. Broadcasts are breaking records. And this is the best cricket school. They agreed to put a punch here.

"Hands are right, closer. Elbow here, let's try with the ball now. So: (blow) good! It turned out literally the third time," the correspondent shows.

And there's nothing to be surprised about. There's a lot of our bast shoes in their cricket. We showed the head coach a few games.

So different, so multifaceted. India is an endless source of information, inspiration and creative ideas. Cooperation between the National Media Group and leading Indian media opens up new opportunities. And a whole new page in the history of our relationship.

A day earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in India on a state visit. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that relations between Russia and India have been time-tested and bring great benefits to the peoples of the two states. He added that he was glad to welcome Putin to India, and called the Russian leader his friend.

The Russian President noted that there are many interesting areas for cooperation between the two countries. In particular, Putin drew attention to the field of artificial intelligence, as well as partnerships in space exploration, shipbuilding, aviation and nuclear energy.
