Deputies from the Fair Russia faction in the State Duma have put forward an initiative to raise the minimum insurance pension to 50 thousand rubles. The appeal, which was reviewed by RIA Novosti on December 5, was sent to the Chairman of the Social Fund of Russia, Sergei Chirkov.
It is specified that the initiators of the proposal were party leader Sergei Mironov and Chairman of the State Duma Committee on the Development of Civil Society, issues of public and religious associations Yana Lantratova.
"We consider it advisable to set the minimum amount of an insurance pension at at least 50 thousand rubles," the letter says.
