Due to adverse weather conditions in the Magadan region, the Sibir Airlines aircraft, flying from Novosibirsk to Magadan, made an emergency landing at an alternate airfield in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. This was announced on December 5 by the press service of the Far Eastern Transport Prosecutor's Office.

"Today, due to adverse weather conditions in the Magadan region, an aircraft operating a Novosibirsk—Magadan flight operated by Sibir Airlines made an emergency landing at an alternate airfield," the Telegram channel said.

It is specified that in this regard, the departure of the return flight from Magadan was delayed. 175 passengers are awaiting departure. In addition, flights to Nikolskoye, Palana, Tilichiki, Ust-Khairyuzovo, Ust-Kamchatsk and Ossora were postponed due to the weather conditions.

The press service added that the Magadan and Kamchatka transport prosecutors monitor the observance of citizens' rights and the provision of mandatory services by air carriers. There were no complaints to the prosecutor's office.

A source from Izvestia reported on December 3 that a Boeing 777 flying from Moscow to Phuket made an emergency landing at Domodedovo Airport due to an engine fire. The aviation services noted the competent response of the crew to an emergency situation. The Red Wings airline announced on the same day that the flight was postponed to December 5.
