Russians were warned about fraudsters sending letters about allegedly unpaid taxes
During the period of active distribution of tax notifications, fraudsters are intensifying phishing attacks aimed at Russians. So, the attackers send messages to their victims about allegedly unpaid taxes. The press service of the Moshelovka platform of the Popular Front warns about this on Friday, December 5.
"Phishing under the guise of tax arrears. Scheme description: against the background of the traditional period of sending tax notifications and paying property taxes until December 1, fraudsters are activating phishing attacks. Victims receive text messages or instant messengers (less often, emails) with the headings "Unpaid tax," "Overpayment of taxes," or "Property tax arrears," the RIA Novosti press service reported.
