On December 5, the military personnel of the Vostok group of forces shared the details of the liberation of the village of Chervonoye in the Zaporizhia region. The relevant footage was provided by the Russian Ministry of Defense on December 5.

According to the commander of the unit with the call sign Yaryi, the soldiers of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation went to the settlement in three groups. He noted that the Ukrainian militants had powerful shelters, but this did not prevent the Russian military from "taking away" three mortars and many old-style weapons from them. Yaryi added that the main thing in a successful operation is unity.

"We entered Chervonoye, cleared the houses, raised the flag. There was a heavy machine gun at the turn, and it was finished off by an FPV drone. Equipment and flags with inscriptions were found in the dugouts. After the sweep, our groups continued moving towards Gulyai—Pole, where steady progress is already underway," said one of the stormtroopers with the call sign Shaman.

The stormtroopers entered the settlement, occupied key positions, knocking out the enemy from their positions. The defensive area of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and the surrounding territories came completely under the control of Russian military personnel.

It became known about the liberation of the village of Chervonoye on December 3. It was noted that in this area, the Ukrainian militants lost more than 235 people, as well as military equipment, 18 vehicles and a 155-millimeter Panzerhaubitze 2000 self-propelled howitzer made in Germany.
