The media reported on the interference of fiber-optic UAVs for the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Fragments of fiber-optic unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) pose problems for the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was reported by the Business Insider (BI) portal.

"Small drones controlled by fiber—optic cables have become such an integral part of the fighting between Russia and Ukraine that they leave traces of cables everywhere, turning parts of the battlefield into a tangled web," the publication says.

It is clarified that the Ukrainian militants confuse the "web" of wires with mine tripwires. These cables are the main element of drones of this type. They protect drones from the effects of electronic warfare (EW) systems. According to the portal, if the task was completed successfully, the cable still remains on the ground and forms a "trap" for Ukrainian militants.
