Narendra Modi presented Putin with a copy of the Gita in Russian
On December 4, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi presented Russian President Vladimir Putin with a part of the ancient Indian epic Bhagavad Gita in Russian.
"I handed a copy of the Gita in Russian to President Putin," reads a message on X (formerly Twitter).
Modi stressed that the teachings of the Gita inspire millions of people around the world.
Putin arrived in India on a two-day state visit on December 4. It was noted that Modi personally met the Russian president upon his arrival in the country, after which they went to an informal meeting in the same car.
