Vilfand named the reason for the warm weather in the European part of the Russian Federation

The warm weather in the European part of the Russian Federation is associated with air masses that come from the non-freezing Atlantic Ocean. This was announced on December 4 by the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center Roman Vilfand.

"The circulation is now formed in such a way that the air mass is transported to the Atlantic Ocean. If the air is transported from the west, from the Atlantic, during the cold months of the first half of the year, and November-December are the coldest months, this means that the temperature anomalies are positive," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
