The president of the Catalan football club (FC) Barcelona, Joan Laporta, announced on December 4 that he did not intend to run for president of the team again.

"I could run again after another semester, but I'm not thinking about it," Mundo Deportivo newspaper quoted him as saying.

His current term as president will expire in 2027.
