The Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation has initiated a new trial to confiscate assets worth 5.4 billion rubles belonging to the former head of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Adygea, Aslan Trakhov, and his relatives. This is stated in court documents, which were reviewed by Izvestia on December 4.

It is clarified that in September 2025, the court had already confiscated Trakhov's assets in the amount of 13 billion rubles in favor of the state. With this in mind, the total value of the seized and disputed property reaches almost 18.5 billion rubles. The Prosecutor General's Office considers this amount to be a record for Russian law enforcement agencies and the judicial system.

A new lawsuit has been filed in the Oktyabrsky District Court of Krasnodar. The Supervisory Authority demands the confiscation of assets allegedly acquired through corrupt means. The list includes large agricultural holdings such as JSC Maryinskoye, LLC Agro-Yug and LLC Koloss, as well as construction and development companies. The total value of these assets exceeds 2 billion rubles.

According to information from the documents, in addition to business assets, the prosecutor's office insists on the confiscation of hundreds of real estate objects in favor of the state. The list includes land plots, buildings, as well as many commercial premises in Krasnodar (including more than 15 non-residential on Alexander Pokryshkin St. and an apartment building on Rogovskaya Street). Shares in residential real estate and large land plots in the Takhtamukaysky district of Adygea, including a plot of about 3 hectares, are also subject to confiscation. In addition, they intend to recover over 370 million rubles from the defendants, which, according to the investigation, were received from the sale of assets, including 362 million rubles from a land deal for construction in Yablonovsky.

The prosecutor's office found out that Aslan Trakhov, who led the courts of Adygea for 21 years, resorted to schemes to conceal his property. To do this, he registered assets with numerous relatives and trusted persons, including his son (former judge Rustem Trakhov), daughter, son-in-law (Kaplan Koblev), lawyers (Alexander Belov, his mother Olga Belova and Anna Belova), deputies, entrepreneurs and other citizens (Abubakar Nunaev, Magomed Khidirov). In total, 44 people are involved in the case, where land plots belonging, according to the prosecutor's office, to Trakhov were registered.

As part of the first lawsuit, considered in September 2025 by the Volga City Court of the Volgograd region, Aslan Trakhov and his son acknowledged the demands of the prosecutor's office. According to that decision, assets worth 13 billion rubles were transferred to the state revenue. The Trakhov case has become part of a series of high-profile anti-corruption lawsuits against high-ranking judges, including the cases of ex-chairman of the Krasnodar Regional Court Alexander Chernov and former head of the Council of Judges Viktor Momotov.

A preliminary hearing on the new lawsuit against Aslan Trakhov is scheduled for December 19, 2025. All disputed property has been seized, and the defendants in the case are prohibited from leaving Russia.

On October 26, the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation, represented by First Deputy Prosecutor General Anatoly Razinkin, filed a lawsuit to confiscate the property of former Sochi Mayor Alexei Kopaigorodsky, his relatives, as well as individuals and organizations associated with them. The list of properties includes five Mercedes cars, luxury real estate in the immediate vicinity of the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, as well as a total of 77 properties.

The former mayor of Sochi was detained on September 25 in a special operation area, where he had volunteered some time ago. On the same day, he was arrested until November 18. Kopaigorodsky is charged with embezzlement of 3.7 million rubles, he pleaded not guilty to the charges. The ex-mayor is also being investigated for involvement in other crimes. If confirmed, new charges will be brought against him.
