Roskomnadzor has blocked Snapchat in Russia

Roskomnadzor has taken measures to block the SnapChat service in Russia. This was reported on December 4 in the press service of the department.

According to law enforcement agencies, the application was used to recruit terrorists, as well as to commit fraud and other crimes against citizens of the country. Measures to block SnapChat were taken back on October 10, 2025.

The day before, the RCN restricted access to the American Internet service Roblox due to the massive and repeated dissemination of materials with propaganda and justification of extremist and terrorist activities, calls for violence, as well as propaganda of LGBT topics (the LGBT movement is recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).
