The first Moscow International Video Game Week, which took place from November 27 to November 30, attracted more than 150,000 visitors. The program involved over 330 city venues and 730 computer clubs in almost all of Russia. This was announced by Deputy Mayor of Moscow Natalia Sergunina.

During the week, the most massive cyber tournament was held with the participation of 4,6 thousand players. In total, various competitions brought together about 116 thousand people across the country.

"The city has concluded 15 cooperation agreements. New partners include the IT hub of Uzbekistan, the creative cluster of Yakutia, a number of relevant domestic associations, educational institutions and large companies," Natalia Sergunina noted.

The documents provide for the joint development of educational and acceleration programs, participation in international exhibitions and the promotion of projects on online platforms.

About 200 experts from more than 20 countries took part in the business program. Moscow studios held 250 meetings with potential investors and partners.

The central event was the opening of the Moscow Cluster of Video Games and Animation at the Skolkovo Innovation Center. It integrates a full cycle of content development and covers all areas of the industry — from training to studio support in export activities.

Eight animation and 33 game companies became residents, having gained access to modern infrastructure, benefits from the Skolkovo Foundation and assistance in international promotion.

"The importance of the new cluster for the creative industries was noted by the expert council of the national award Russian Creative Awards. The project received an award in the Global Creanomics nomination," Natalia Sergunina said.

During the Week, an exhibition was held in the cluster, where 60 Russian developers presented their projects. More than 25,000 Muscovites and tourists got acquainted with the new games and tested them.
