Putin instructed to develop a roadmap for the renewal of fishing vessels
Russian President Vladimir Putin has instructed the Government to prepare a roadmap for the renovation of industrial fishing vessels by March 30, 2026. The relevant information was published on the Kremlin's website on December 4.
"To develop <...> and approve an action plan (roadmap) to upgrade vessels engaged in commercial fishing, to develop the ship repair base for the period up to 2036, by setting annual target indicators for such renewal and development and defining measures of state support," the publication says.
Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has been appointed responsible for the execution of the order.
Earlier, on November 18, Andrey Puchkov, CEO of the United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC), announced during the laying ceremony of the nuclear icebreaker Stalingrad that Russia had begun construction of the largest series of icebreakers in world history, consisting of seven vessels. According to him, over the past two years, the nuclear-powered ship Chukotka and the icebreaker Leningrad have been launched under Putin's leadership.
