The National Media Group (NMG) and Asian News International (ANI, India) have signed a cooperation agreement. The signing took place during the state visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to India and the Russian-Indian Forum taking place in New Delhi these days.

The agreement is aimed at expanding news coverage, strengthening interaction between the media and ensuring mutual access to media content in Russia and India. It will allow the parties to systematically develop cooperation, improve the quality of international news exchange and provide the audience with broader and more objective coverage of current events in the two countries.

According to Svetlana Balanova, CEO of the National Media Group, cooperation between news content producers in India and Russia expands opportunities for objective, balanced and in-depth coverage of events, exchange of experience in the field of new media and technologies, as well as strengthening mutual understanding between peoples through high-quality journalism.

"Asian News International is the leading multimedia news agency in South Asia with a wide network in India. In Russia, the TV news of the Izvestia multimedia center, part of NMG, is watched by more than 60 million people every month, and their coverage in all viewing environments is even higher. Dozens of our correspondents are there, where the history of our country and the history of the whole world is being written. It is extremely important for us to have a reliable foreign partner in order to bring to the audience a reliable picture of what is happening in the modern world," Svetlana Balanova emphasized.

Sanjeev Prakash, ANI's editor-in-chief and CEO, stated that the company is pleased to officially conclude a partnership with NMG at a time when cooperation between India and Russia continues to expand in various industries. According to him, the cooperation will strengthen the ability to provide reliable, timely and comprehensive news to the audience of both countries.

"By working closely with NMG, we strive to deepen cross—cultural understanding and enhance the global flow of reliable information," he said.
