The producer of "Tender May", Andrei Razin, left for the United States for a medical operation, and not for the purpose of hiding from the investigation. This was stated on December 4 by his representative Alexander Zharkov during a court hearing in the Khostinsky district Court of Sochi.

"Razin does not have citizenship in America, he was there for only a short time when he underwent surgery there. <...> And then he moved from America to Turkey, where he took citizenship," RIA Novosti quoted Zharkov as saying.

According to the representative, Razin sold his house in Russia to carry out the operation.

Lawyer Assel Mukhtarova-Kazarnovskaya informed Izvestia on November 24 that Razin had been charged with fraud on an especially large scale. According to the investigation, the producer for a long time used a fake contract with the author of the songs "Tender May" Sergey Kuznetsov and received money as the copyright holder. The poet's widow was recognized as a victim in the case.

Later, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation put Razin on the wanted list, and the material damage in the criminal case against him amounted to about 500 million rubles. Razin's former driver confirmed to the investigation on December 3 that his employer lives in the United States.
