In Russia, a jump in the average cost of a new domestic car was recorded
In November, Russia recorded a new jump in the average cost of a new car, which turned out to be the most significant this year. The average price of a domestic car immediately rose by 8% compared to October and reached 1.85 million rubles. The average cost of a Chinese car exceeded 3.68 million rubles (+3%). This was reported to Izvestia on December 5 by experts from <url> Assessment.
The rapid upward movement of the average cost in November was caused by both an upward revision of retail prices and a change in the supply structure itself, the analysts explained.
"The number of ads with Chinese brand models decreased by 10% in a month and by 60% year-on-year. At the same time, the segment of the offer from domestic brands grew by 13%. First of all, due to Tenet, which almost doubles the number of ads every month. There is also a noticeable increase on the part of Lada Iskra, in November the supply increased by one and a half times compared to October," the experts said.
The increase in the average cost of a domestic car was also affected by an increase in the price of Solaris KRS and HC models, which became more expensive by 5% and 4% (2.5 and 2.9 million rubles), respectively. They topped the top five cars, whose value jumped the most in November compared to October. The list also includes Solaris KRX (4%, 2.6 million rubles), Lada Iskra (3%, 1.55 million rubles) and SWM G05 (3%, 2.01 million rubles). In the case of Iskra, the increase in the average price is due to an increase in the number of ads for more richly equipped configurations.
Only five models had a significant decrease in average cost in November. The Jetour Dashing crossover was offered on average for 3 million rubles (-3.6%), Voyah Dream for 8.24 million rubles (-1.6%), Omoda C5 for 2.67 million rubles (-1.4%). For the month, 1% lost Exeed TXL (3.91 million rubles) and Chery Tiggo 7L (2.9 million rubles).
The report of the analytical agency Autostat, which was received by Izvestia on December 3, reported that by the end of November, 127.9 thousand new passenger cars were sold in Russia, which is 5% more than in November 2024. The Lada Granta model retained the title of the bestseller in the primary Russian car market, the Haval Jolion remained the best-selling foreign car, and two models of the Russian brand Tenet entered the top five.
