Macron allowed the US to stop supporting Ukraine

French President Emmanuel Macron, during a telephone conversation with the leaders of the European Union (EU), expressed doubts that the United States would be able to guarantee Ukraine the necessary security and protect its territorial integrity. This was reported on December 4 by the German magazine Spiegel.

The conversation, which also included German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, Finnish President Alexander Stubb and Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky, discussed the American 28-point peace plan.

"Macron said that Washington could betray Ukraine," the newspaper writes.
