- Zakharova announced the intention of the "vampires of Brussels" to destroy relations between Russia and Armenia
Representatives of the European Union (EU), making statements about the relations between Armenia and Russia, resemble vampires and evil fairies, as their only goal is to damage relations between Moscow and Yerevan. This was announced on December 4 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
"It's when vampires like that, Brussels vampires, crawl up to normal people and say: "Do you want us to bite you and make you like us? You will not be reflected in mirrors, you will be afraid of sunlight, you will not need energy, energy." It's the same thing," Zakharova said at a briefing.
The diplomat noted that EU representatives, in particular, the head of the European Diplomacy, Kaya Kallas, and the European Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kosa, who called on Armenia to join the anti-Russian sanctions, exposed themselves.
"Their statements once again prove that Brussels' only goal—setting in cooperation with Yerevan is actually only to damage Armenia's relations with Russia," the Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman said.
On December 2, Kallas announced that the European Union would allocate €15 million to increase Armenia's resilience in the run-up to the parliamentary elections in the republic. The EU representative stressed that Brussels supports reforms in Armenia, including initiatives aimed at diversifying the country's economy. The EU will also continue to cooperate with Armenia on issues of security and visa facilitation.
Earlier, on November 12, the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) reported that the Armenian authorities, for political reasons, want to "get rid" of Russia and provide assistance to Ukraine. It was clarified that for many years Armenia had been buying grain from Russia, but now Yerevan is announcing its intention to start purchasing part of the supplies from Kiev. At the same time, the cost of Ukrainian grain is more expensive than Russian grain.
