Zakharova predicted an increase in the number of tourists from China amid visa cancellation

The number of tourists from China is likely to increase due to the introduction of a visa-free regime by Russia. This was stated at a briefing on December 4 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, answering a question from Izvestia.

"As for the figures on the growth of tourist exchanges with China, <..."it seems to me that there will obviously be more now, given that a decision was recently made <...> to introduce a visa—free entry regime for certain categories of Chinese citizens, just those who come for tourist purposes on the basis of reciprocity for a certain period of time," she said.
