Oreshkin opened the Russian-Indian Business Forum in New Delhi

Maxim Oreshkin, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation, delivered a welcoming speech at the opening session of the Russian-Indian Business Forum, which is taking place in New Delhi on December 4 and 5. The motto of the business forum is "Balanced trade. Overall growth." The event is organized by the Roscongress Foundation and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).

In his speech, Maxim Oreshkin noted the importance and timeliness of the event, emphasized the special nature of Russian-Indian relations and their stability in modern conditions. "Russia and India are not just strategic partners, they are allies who trust each other in the most difficult situations. Our cooperation is based on the principles of mutual respect, consideration of interests and long-term planning. Today, unprecedented opportunities are opening up for businesses in the two countries: from joint projects in the energy and IT sectors to the creation of new logistics corridors and chains. I am confident that the decisions taken at this business forum will be concrete steps towards achieving the ambitious goal of increasing trade turnover to $100 billion by 2030," Maxim Oreshkin said.

More than 300 companies from Russia and India are taking part in the Russian-Indian Business Forum. The agenda includes sessions on mechanical engineering, pharmaceuticals, digital technologies, agriculture and financial instruments to support joint projects.

The business forum will last until December 5th. The central event of the business program of the business forum will be the plenary session "Russia–India: a dialogue changing the world."
