A mandatory mask regime has been introduced in Blagoveshchensk (Amur region). The reason was a significant increase in the incidence of acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI).

According to PriamurMedia news agency, all citizens are required to wear masks in closed public places — public and private organizations. Company managers are required to ensure compliance with sanitary regulations, including the use of bactericidal recirculators, regular ventilation and disinfection of premises.

Children's mass events have been canceled in the city until December 19 to reduce the risk of spreading infections.

According to Rospotrebnadzor, the incidence of acute respiratory viral infections and influenza in the Amur Region increased by 27.6% over the past week. 287 cases of influenza have been reported.
