A Russian serviceman with the call sign Kasatka hit a mine on his birthday and survived in the area of a special military operation. He told RT about this on December 3.

The fighter clarified that he was born at seven o'clock in the morning, and on his birthday he was blown up by a mine at five minutes to 7 a.m. This happened when he was leading a group of Russian attack aircraft — he was riding a motorcycle, and his colleagues were riding ATVs from behind.

"I saw the dragon's teeth ahead <...> and I know I'm going to get through, but they [my colleagues] don't. I caught a glimpse of the trail — I thought it was a backup option, taxied there and an explosion occurred," Kasatka recalled.
