Experts will additionally control the drawing of the New Year's edition of the state lottery

The New Year's edition of the Russian Lotto lottery will be held under the additional supervision of experts from F6, a Russian developer of technologies to combat cybercrime. This was reported in the Stoloto company.

"The Russian Lotto New Year's drawing has attracted the attention of the whole country, and for the sixth year in a row we are pleased to work with F6 specialists, giving participants another opportunity to make sure that winning state lotteries is an exceptionally lucky chance," said Anatoly Lizdunov, head of the Stoloto Lottery Development Center. He noted that this is an additional measure to control the ticket database beyond those established by law.

The New Year's Billion drawing, as in previous years, will be held in the presence of the audience and the star guests of the show, as well as under the supervision of an independent circulation commission. The task of the F6 specialists will be to use additional verification methods to ensure that only tickets sold with registered game combinations participate in the drawing.

More than 3 billion rubles will be raffled off in the New Year's Billion draw. The total amount consists of the prize pool of the draw, which receives 50% of the proceeds, and the jackpot, Stoloto noted. The main prize is more than 60% likely to go to one person, but it may happen that two or more winners will share it equally.

Since 2014, all lotteries in Russia have been state—owned, they are conducted under the state supervision of the Federal Tax Service of Russia, and they are organized by the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Sports. State lotteries distributed under the Stoloto brand are a significant source of replenishment of the federal budget. Targeted contributions are used to finance socially significant facilities and activities, including the development of physical culture and sports, high-performance sports and the sports reserve training system.
