- Garik Sukachev will perform in Moscow with a symphony orchestra and a children's choir.
Musician Garik Sukachev will give a rock concert in Moscow accompanied by a symphony orchestra and a children's choir. The performance will take place on Saturday, December 6th. On December 4, Izvestia correspondent Maxim Oblender told the details.
He is always a rebel, recognizable both by his gait and by his trademark anguish, an irreparable romantic and a master of love ballads. The musician and director Garik Sukachev is respectfully called Ivanich by most: the band, the technicians, and the fans.
"Every performance by Garik Sukachev is also, in fact, a performance with an orchestra. There are always about 20 people on stage. But these concerts are special, the Sukachev Orchestra plays, the symphony orchestra plays, and the children's choir sings. Not only does it look big, it also sounds monumental, to the point of goosebumps," Oblender notes.
This is not the first collaboration with both the orchestra and the choir, but it is a rare event. Each concert is preceded by a series of rehearsals. Harp, violins, Indian sitar. Some of the scores were created exclusively for these concerts. The other few years have been waiting in the wings again.
"I even just remembered them. I say, oh, we have scores somewhere. Let's find them for the big symphony. And we found them," says Garik Sukachev.
New items that will only be included in Garik Sukachev's album, which is scheduled for release in February. Songs from the time of the "C Brigade", "Untouchables".
The choir members admit that this experience is worth a lot. Although the music is unusual.
"Do you know how fast they grow up? How many years have we been together with this particular choir? I am very pleased," said Sukachev.
On December 6, Garik Sukachev will repeat the concert with an orchestra and a children's choir on the stage of the metropolitan LIVE Arena. There are plans for 2026 as well.
"I hope that next year we will still play. I really like these concerts when it's expensive, isn't it?" said Sukachev ironically.
Earlier, on November 24, it was reported that on December 7, the Chaif group would give a grand concert in Moscow. It was clarified that in honor of the birthday, the band staged a large—scale tour of Russia - there are already over a dozen cities behind them and full halls in each of them.
