US Special Envoy Steven Witkoff's admiration for visiting Moscow is very important, but it is much more important how Muscovites themselves assess the level of comfort in the city. This was announced on December 4 by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin.

"I'm surprised they're surprised. <...> I think we are more concerned about the assessment of Muscovites than Americans," he said in the program "Our City. Dialogue with the Mayor" on the TV Center channel.

Sobyanin added that it was unclear to him where the residents of the United States get information about the Russian capital, presenting it as unsuitable for life.

During a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on December 3, Witkoff called Moscow an amazing city, and his walk around Moscow was beautiful. The Russian leader, in turn, noted that he was glad to see him in the capital, and stressed that the Moscow authorities were rightfully proud of what they had done for the development of the city.
