Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in India on December 4 for a two-day state visit.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will personally meet Putin. This is the first visit of the President of the Russian Federation to the republic in four years.

Upon arrival in New Delhi, the Russian leader will hold an informal meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The next day, Putin will hold an official ceremony with Indian President Draupadi Murmu and Modi, after which he will visit the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial.

In addition, the Russian and Indian delegations are scheduled to meet in both a narrow and expanded format. In addition, the president, along with Modi, will attend and speak at a meeting of the Russian Indian business forum, as well as participate in the launch of the RT India TV channel.

A ceremony of exchanging 10 intergovernmental and interdepartmental documents will also be held in the presence of the leaders of the two countries.

On the eve of his visit, Putin gave an interview to Indian journalists, where he stated that Moscow and New Delhi have a large-scale plan for cooperation in the future, including in the technological sphere, space, and nuclear energy. In addition, the Russian leader said that he has not only business but also personal relations with Modi.
