An immigrant student was detained in the United States, who is believed to have been preparing a mass shooting, as described in a manifesto found in his possession. This was reported on December 3 by The New York Post (NYP).

According to the newspaper, a 25-year—old student from Pakistan was detained on November 24 near a public park after law enforcement officers searched his pickup truck. During the searches, a Glock 357 pistol, several loaded magazines for 27 rounds and bulletproof vests were found. Law enforcement agencies seized a notebook from a man with notes in which he described in detail a plan to attack the school where he studied.

The man is currently under arrest and has been charged with illegal possession of weapons. The Federal Security Service is conducting an investigation, the newspaper added.
