Russian fighters used a new tactic when entering the rear of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Shakhtyorsky district of Krasnoarmeysk (Ukrainian name — Pokrovsk) Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). Telman Uralbaev, commander of the 1st Motorized Rifle Battalion of the 506th Regiment of the 27th Division of the 2nd Guards Combined Arms Army of the Center group of forces, told Izvestia correspondent Alexander Safiulin about this.

"They acted in different ways, and they acted during the day, and two people, and one, and three people tried to enter. They chose a tactic of action when the road was heated at night, and a man without a poncho, without an anti—drone blanket, just went out onto the road and merged with the road, and walked, walked boldly, and so small groups entered the Mining district," said the military.

The fighters accumulated there, after which they began to storm. After passing through the Shakhtersky district, Russian servicemen began to infiltrate into the Southern Region and gain a foothold in small groups.

"The guys went into every house, changed their clothes — some into civilian clothes, some found the enemy's uniform, changed their clothes and began to practice sabotage actions. Someone was walking around, correcting where the enemy's firing positions were," Uralbaev recalls.

According to him, the Ukrainian military was not given a specific defense task. The command understood that the city would be surrendered, abandoned the militants to their fate, and retreated back.

"They didn't have an understanding of who was in what positions, they started destroying each other, the command was not coordinated with each other. Counterattacks are certainly felt from the enemy, they have pulled together all their reserves. They are chasing everyone in droves," the military said.

Now the militants are mining all the facilities on the escape routes, trying to stop the Russian military and gain a foothold in more advantageous positions.

"They understand that we will not stop at this city, we will go on anyway until the task is completed," he stressed.
